ALLERGY

ALLERGY

Allergies come from the immune system's hyper reaction to often benign substances known as allergens. An allergic person's immune system misinterprets an allergen as a threat and overreacts when it comes into contact with it. The following are some typical causes of allergies:

Pollen: From trees, grasses, and weeds. Pollen allergies often cause seasonal symptoms known as hay fever or allergic rhinitis.

Dust Mites: Tiny creatures that live in household dust and can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

Mould: Allergies can be brought on by mould spores, which are present in moist or decomposing organic materials.

Pet Dander: Allergies can be triggered by the skin flakes, saliva, and urine of pets, including dogs and cats.

Food: Peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, and shellfish are among the common food allergies. Food allergies can result in a variety of symptoms, varying in severity.

Insect Stings: Wasp, hornet, bee, and ant stings can induce allergic reactions that, in extreme circumstances, can result in anaphylaxis.

Medication: Some people may experience allergic responses to specific drugs.

Latex: Those who frequently come into contact with latex, such as healthcare workers, may experience allergic responses to latex gloves and other goods.

Environmental Factors: Strong smells, smoke, and pollution can occasionally make allergy symptoms worse.
