HAIRFALL AND DANDRUF

Causes of Hair Loss:

Genetic Factors: Both men and women can be affected by the hereditary disorder known as androgenetic alopecia, or pattern baldness.

Hormonal Changes: Hair loss may result from thyroid issues, pregnancy, or menopause.

Nutritional Deficiencies: Hair loss may result from a deficiency in vital nutrients such as iron, vitamin D, and B vitamins.

Medical Conditions: Lupus, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases like alopecia areata can all lead to hair loss.

Medication: A number of medications, such as those used to treat heart problems, arthritis, cancer (chemotherapy), depression, and arthritis, can cause hair loss.

Stress: Stress, either mental or physical, can cause telogen effluvium, a temporary loss of hair.

Fungal infections, such as ringworm, have the potential to cause hair loss, particularly in younger patients.

Bad Hair Care Practices: Using harsh chemicals and heat styling tools excessively

Causes of dandruff:

Malassezia Yeast: An excessive amount of this yeast on the scalp can result in dandruff, which flakes and itchiness.

Seborrhoeic Dermatitis: A skin ailment characterised by greasy, red spots that may have white or yellow flakes on them.

Dry Skin: Small, dry skin flakes might be a sign of a dry scalp.

Dandruff and irritation can result from sensitive skin to shampoos and hair products.

Psoriasis: A long-term illness that can cause scaly areas on the scalp.

Eczema: On the scalp, it can cause flaking and irritation
